Short term parking zones
The inner city of Linz is a short term parking zone. It's bordered from the Promenade, Domgasse, Zollamt- and Fabrikstraße in the north, from the Kaisergasse, Eisenhand- and Körnerstraße to the Kantstraße in the east, from the Blumauer-, Land-, Stelzhamer-, Volksgarten- and Weingartshofstraße in the south and from the Waldeggstraße, Keller-, Sandgasse and Hopfengasse and the Kapuzinerstraße in the west. The maximum parking duration is 30, 90, or 180 minutes. The short term parking zones are valid Monday-Friday 8a.m.-6.30p.m. and Saturday 8a.m.-12p.m. At this times you have to pay €1,00 for every half an hour. Permanent parking permits are available for residents of short term parking zones at the Bürgerservice Center:
- € 54.40 for 1 year
- € 94.50 for 2 years
Parking tickets are available at parking ticket machines. The parking duration can be arranged individual with an minimum price for half an hour (€1,00) and then in 10 cent steps to the maximum parking duration. The fee can be either paid with coins or with quick.
With mobile parking it's possible to buy parking tickets with your mobile phone. You will get more information on the website www.mobil-parken.at.

The public transportation system in Linz is well developed. The Linz Linien are offering several types of tickets, for example also one mobile phone ticket (for one-way tickets or day tickets)
